The premiere of the first trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s new crime comedy film, “Caught Stealing,” is being released by Sony Pictures, with the cast from “Black Swan,” “Requiem for a Dream,” and “The Whale” also featured.
Austin Butler plays Hank Thompson, a baseball player from high school who is currently unable to play, but everything else is going well. He has a great girlfriend (Zo Kravitz), tends a bar at a New York dive, and his favorite team is making an underdog run at the pennant.
Hank is suddenly forced to take care of his punk rock neighbor Russ (Matt Smith)’s cat for a few days after he is asked to do so by a motley crew of threatening gangsters.
Everyone wants to get their hands on him; the problem is that he doesn’t know why. Hank has to use all his energy to stay alive and find out while trying to escape their ever-tightening grasp.
The film features Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, Benito A Mart nez Ocasio, and Carol Kane, as well as Charlie Huston’s book based on it.
Jeremy Dawson, Dylan Golden, Ari Handel, and Aronofsky are behind the production of the film that premieres on August 29th.
