Josh Hartnett has been having quite a bump in his career over the past five years, completely undaunted by the COVID outbreak and various industry strikes. We first began Hartnett’s return to movies in a major way when he showed up in Guy Ritchie’s 2021 Wrath Of Man, and in that film’s follow-up, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, also with Ritchie and Jason Statham. An appearance on the popular genre anthology, Black Mirror, then led to a key role in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which won many awards, including Best Picture at the Oscars. Last year’s Trap, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, showed another side of Hartnett, as a serial killer attending a pop concert with his daughter.
In James Madigan’s Flight or Flight, Hartnett is literally back in action as mercenary Lucas Reyes, who is sent to board a flight from Thailand to San Francisco, in search of a dangerous corporate hacker known as “The Ghost.” That flight is also full of killers who are not only trying to find the Ghost themselves, but also are now after Lucas. Hartnett’s has to work with a flight attendant played by Charithra Chandran of Bridgerton to fight off all those killers and get the plane to its destination in San Francisco. Madigan’s movie offers the type of crazy and quite gory action that moviegoers have become accustomed to, thanks to the John Wick movies.

KATE SACKHOFF VIDEO INTERVIEW
By comparison, Katee Sackhoff hasn’t appeared in nearly as many movies, as much of her career has been focused on genre television, whether it’s starring as a very popular new take on Starbuck in the Syfy Battlestar Galactica remake, originating the Star Wars role
In Fight or Flight, she plays Katherine Brunt, Lucas Reyes’ former handler who makes him an offer to help her agency find “The Ghost,” and though Sackhoff and Hartnett never actually have scenes together, she told Cinema Daily US that she was quite jealous of the amount of action he was able to do. You can learn more about that in the interview with Ms. Sackhoff in the video player above.
Fight or Flight opens nationwide on Friday, May 9 with previews starting on Thursday.
